Woodblock print by Toshi Yoshida
This print is reprinted by printer Komatsu Heihachi of the Yoshida studio (atozuri).
Beautiful pressed details in the paper, like his whiskers. This tiger is looking right into your eyes. love he strong but soft feet.
You can nearly feel the softness off the fur.
it comes with an extra (new) passe-partout, cut to size for a frame 50 x 40 cm. off course you can do 40 x 30 as well. the work is not attached to the new passe-partout. color wish excellent!
Toshi Yoshida was the eldest son of Hiroshi Yoshida. Like his father he undertook extensive travels all over the world. His trips took him to the U.S.A., Canada, India, Africa, Australia and even to the Antarctica. Most of his print subjects are focused on landscapes or animals depicted in a realistic style. After the death of his father Hiroshi Yoshida, he even experimented in abstract art for a while but returned to realistic landscape prints.
The woodblock print is in excellent condition, as new ! Never been framed.
Will be packed with great care, between cardboard plates to prevent bending
