Antique Japanese sword (long shinogi-zukuri katana) in koshirae, wooden tsunagi blade and shirasaya. The blade was forged in the Edo period and is unsigned. The blade has decent Japanese polish and fine scratches, notare/midare hamon. Length 'nagasa': 76.6 cm, length in koshirae: 117 cm, length in shirasaya: 117.5 cm, 'motogasane': 7 mm, 'motohaba': 3.2 cm, 'sori': 1.2 cm, ideal candidate for shinsa. It shows no rust, chips or cracks, no bending in the blade and the cutting edge is very sharp. The koshirae has minor signs of wear, beautiful 'sukashi' tsuba and 'kodogu' really complete this katana. The sword comes with a copy of the 'torokusho' (Japanese registration certificate), the original 'torokusho' will stay in Japan. Insured shipping (Russia and China are excluded).
