Musician Angels - Bronze, Wood
Belgium - 20th

Beautiful Art Nouveau (Jugendstil) religious image of music-making angels.
This method of decorating a wooden panel is called Pyrography. The design is burned in the wood by a hot needle.
The organ player with halo and rays of sun has long hair tied together by a wreath of flowers. She is surrounded by 3 winged angels. The one on the right turns the page of the score.
The angels have jewels around the neck and in the hair.
The robe of the playing woman is decorated with a cross motif.
At the top and bottom, the panel is bordered by floral motifs and cross signs.
At the bottom, left and right, there are two amphorae with large lily plants, also note the motif on the floor at the bottom.

This beautiful illustration is made on a wooden panel with bronze flower and star-shaped decorations.
The lily's and roses are coloured in.
The back of the panel is made to prevent warping.

The lot will be carefully packaged for shipping.
