Up for auction is a nice old full size italian violin for professional musician or collector. The label says: Joseph Rocca fecit premiato di Medaglle alle Espisizioni di Torino , Genova , Londra e Parigi Taurini anno Domini 1856 IHS. This is a superb sounding instrument, also very beautiful in appearance.
The strongly flamed two pieces maple back measures 358 mm. The total length of the violin is 596 mm. String length 328 mm. Medium grained spruce top, golden amber varnish. This violin is in a good used condition, with no cracks, grafted scroll, beautiful model with a very elegant natural amber patina, very high quality of woods, perfect details all over. The sound is very powerful, deep, mellow and rich.
