Beautiful Dutch winterscape painted with an amazing attention to details.
The painting has a lot of depth and real tridimensional effect.
Although painted in 20th century, in terms of technique, details and colours , I think this painting is superior to most 17th, 18th or 19th century classical Dutch painting exhibited in museums. Watching it, you will notice new details everyday.
Lion Arie Feijen (Leon Arie Feyen) is a contemporary artist who carries forth the famous Dutch tradition started by the 17th Century masters. He paints his landscapes and still lifes in the classical way in great detail. Especially have a look at his usage of rich colours, which create a warm atmosphere.
The painting is in good condition as well as the frame. If you look very carefully you can notice some small cracks in the sky (I don't see cracks elsewhere). Those are noticeable only at closer look and despite this the painting still look like new.
Please notice some cracks and lacks in the frame as well.
