Very clear and beautiful Hammon and perfect profesional polish on it. You can see perfectly the tamahagane steel, hada grains and forging patterns, the tamahagane waves are beautiful and perfect. Great curvature too.
Blade is in very good condition. Not rust, minimum scratches. Not hagire, no nicks, and not fatal damage, of course. Please see the close-up pictures for amazing details.
All my swords are originals, imported from japan during many years of collection. Hand forged samurai blades are registered in the Agency for Cultural Affairs as artwork and The Board of Education (Cultural properties protection Committee); therefore each sword has the registration card, issued by the Board of Education. Original must be keeped in Japan by law.

To the best of our knowledge we have tried to verify the signature, the signature of the sword is not guaranteed as there are no NBTHK or NTHK origami (certification paper) to go with the sword.
To be reasonably certain as to the maker of a specific sword, it is necessary to submit the sword for shinsa (judging) by one of the major Japanese sword study associations (NBTHK or NTHK). These organizations will judge the sword and issue appropriate papers (origami) attesting to the swords authenticity and/or historical importance.
