Condition: excellent print with some plate tone on thick paper. In excellent condition without tears, stains or folds.

Original etching by Salvator Rosa (1615-1673) - Italian School
Painter, etcher, musician and poet. Pupil of Lanfranco and Ribera. He also went to Naples. Protégé van de 'Duke of Tuscany'. Important painter but also engraver in a very personal style.

Subject: from the Figurine series, a series of etchings with lively depictions of soldiers and civilians from between 1653-1658.

Nice prints with details and some tiny scratches on the plate due to polishing of the etch plate.
Signed with his monogram SR in the plate.
