You are bidding on a very fine and rare antique (18th century) 4/4 violin, labeled Paolo Antonio Testore figlio di Carlo Giuseppe Testore in Contrada Larga di Milano al Segno dell' Acquila 1759.
The instrument is in ready to play condition with some old professionally repaired cracks (not under the bridge), grafted scroll and "Till Kulla Köln RH" bridge. The violin has an excellent medium grained spruce of the top and one piece back of beautiful flamed wood. The whole length of the violin is 585 mm and the back 356 mm. Full size. The sound of this instrument is of a charming character, rich and beautiful colors, depth and great carrying power. I hope the violin will find good hands. Wish you a successful bidding.
