Violin with carved lion head made by the German ‘factories’ Mittenwald, Marknoichirken and Bubenroid in the early 1900s.
Inside the sound box is the inscription “sotto la disciplina di Antonius Stradivarius fecit Cremona” to make clear which violin model inspired the violin makers, in this case the great master Stradivari.
The instrument was my companion in the years of the conservatory.
