Tsar Alexander III 1881-1894 (Father of Nikolaas II) bronze commemoration plaque.
Kronstadt is 20 km from Saint Petersburg.
Rare bronze medal, with the Imperial coat of arms and signature of the artist Armand Gargas (1954-1921).
Text; ALEXANDER III EMPEROR OF ALL RUSSIANS, born 10 March 1845 and died 1 November 1891.
In memory of the French Navy in Cronstadt in 1891 and the Russian Navy in Toulon and Paris in 1892.
Diameter; 21.4 cm. (with coat of arms, a height of 24.5 cm.) weight; 850 grams.
