New Year’s card Software Bevers + party invitation
The company company (as it was described at the time) SOFTWARE BEVERS (a name symbolising the tireless regulation of streams, streams of information in this case) settled in Weesp.
Of course, their mascot was a beaver. I drew their cards when there was something to communicate by paper. A three-part fold-out invitation for a party was sent out and New Year’s cards for 1997 and the all-changing change to 2K: at midnight, many computers were believed to malfunction because they could only use years based on 19. It didn’t turn out to be that bad.
Cards: One three-part fold-out on A5, so that the invitee sees three consecutive illustrations, and two double fold-out cards on A5 where the reader sees two consecutive illustrations. Signed.
The winner of this lot will also receive the special print, made for this auction in an edition of 150 unnumbered copies, in colour in A4 size, signed by Henk Kuijpers (see final image).
The original of this print can also be found in this auction. See the final lot.
