Wooden column, painted with a faux marble effect Rome, Italy, 20th century
Elegant and rare wooden column, richly decorated with geometric motifs, and painted with a faux marble effect. Its design and colours have been inspired by the decorations of 17th/18th centuries palaces, villas and churches.
It reproduces the following marbles:
- White Carrara marble
- Red Florentine marble
- Red Etruscan marble
- Orobic Arabesque Orange marble
- Green Alps marble

Provenance: from a Roman palace. Made in the 20th century, recently restored.

The back side shows some holes used to fix the item to the wall.
Dimensions: depth 26 cm, width 35 cm, height 117 cm. Weight: 10 kg.
