2nd half 20th century - Good condition, used with some signs of wear

Offered is this gorgeous black Okuyi / Mukuyi mask created by the PUNU tribe
This beautiful piece has a black with dark red face , skillfully hand carved with scarifications on the forehead,
These scarifications are thought to be associated either with a female ancestor, or with a southern sub-group of the PUNU tribe.

The mask is finished with shells , beads and rope

Origin: Gabon
Estimated Age: mid tot late 20th century

Overall condition is good, there are some minor signs of age and use
