Bought from a retired wine distributor in Rioja in 2012.
Stored in private cellar up to today.
95/100 Cellartracker: "Nearly as always the 1964 Rioja vintage is the stunner! This bottle is all about finesse, slightly red fruit, very herbal, but fine and unobtrusive, light and racy showing, overall beautifully focused, very fresh and young! Ending very long and refreshing with still lively acidity, with slow ox over some hours this bottle is still improving
95/100 Cellartracker: " Some barnyard scents that evolved to more dark cherry fruit and sous bois. What a combination. Thought it was a Rhone but changed rather quickly to burg. Wrong...tempranillo at its best. If this is what traditional Spanish wines are all about, then look out Bordeaux! Delicious!".
