Uncut fan print depicting five Shojo sake spirits around a half-rolled scroll.

Seal: unread

Size: Shikishiban, 23.0 cm × 24.2 cm

Very good impression with fine colours, blind printing of the scroll and mica dust. Album binding holes along right edge. Lightly waterspotted and soiled. Browned at edges. Full size, unbacked.

In Japanese folk belief, Shojo spirits are ape-like, intelligent, red-haired sea spirits extremely fond of sake.
