'Noise Pop' by Shepard Fairey, 2000
22.5 x 35 Inches
Screen print on thick, bright white fine art paper.
Unnumbered Limited Edition of only 50.
Signed and dated by Shepard Fairey. Comes with OBEY Manifesto and stickers!
A Shepard Fairey that FEW have ever seen! Fairey started his OBEY campaign, "promoting dissidence", in 1998. At that time, he was self-funded and guerilla-marketing his work all over the streets of Northern California - occasionally being hired to do prints for musical events or as a DJ. One of his early gigs was for "Noise Pop 2000", a small music fair held in San Francisco. This is one of "fewer than 50" signed and dated by Fairey (note the Full Signature, he would later adapt a sloppier signature as his popularity grew). This print has only ever been offered by the original show promoter - not on any website or gallery. A RARE find!!
