Authentic traditionaly hand forged Japanese Gendaito Katana by well know Japanese sword smith.
High quality blade in fine sharp polish and very fine condition. There is highly beautiful mixed Choji-Gunome-Midare hamon, dense flamboyant pattern. The finely forged Hada is dense and well visible also.

A truly beautifuly and fine custom ordered gendaito blade !

and dated: 2003 October on a lucky day

Kawahara Sadachika (real name is Kawahara Shin-ichi) was born in 1968. He became a pupil of Gassan Sadaichi who was the Living National Treasure.

He is also a buddhist priest, having a traditional workshop in Shiga prefecture.
He is one of the 200 people in the world who can claim they can make a real Japanese sword. He is a great craftsman and his blades has bright color with unique hamon and fine jihada.

The koshirae made of elegant saya with minor scratches and wear only, bronz blackened tsuba with gold inlay, long tsuka with good rayskin, thick high quality menukies and fuchi-kashira with fine details and gold-silver inlays.
