Francesc Gassó Carbonell
Multifaceted artist, teacher at Massana School. Activista Catalán. Barcelona 1918 to 1997.
Member of a family of artists and dedicated to Catalan culture.
Founding member of the GRUPO ESTUDIO, in 1939 in Sant Pau 70, shortly after the entry of the Nationalists in Catalonia.
As a teacher he worked at the Massana school, as a modelling teacher and in several schools as an art teacher, Cotolengo and the mental hospital of Sant Boi.
He has several works on display in museums in Barcelona, and art schools, especially he has works in the Núria and Esparreguera churches.
We find here an important figure. A tireless worker who has a little known but varied work, stone and marble, glass engraving, wood.
Person closely linked to the world of post-war culture, defender of Catalonia.
