Painter from Kyoto School in Shijo and Master at the Tokyo School of Fine Arts.
Coming from a long line of Buddhist painters.
One of the great specialists of the "Shasei" technique which consists of superimposing many layers (up to 30) of pale colour, to develop texture and a three-dimensional effect.
