In 1950, Claude VASSAL was to quickly become one of the leading figures of the new generation of French designers. Associated to the reconstruction movement for his creations borrowing from materials such as oak or lacquered metal, he developed a line of furniture that featured clean and architectural lines. Claude VASSAL's pieces are made with functionality in mind. The addition of material to the corners or the disconnection of lines are his trademark and give his furniture an identifiable character, sought-after by collectors.
