The Endeavor is a class J sailboat with the number J K 4. It was built in 1934 by Camper & Nicholsons shipyards on a plan by Charles Ernest Nicholson for Thomas Sopwith, founder of the Sopwith Aviation Company, which was destined to be a challenger to the America's Cup.
