Ghoum - Corridor - 400 cm - 78 cm

Description
Ghoum - Corridor - 400 cm - 78 cm
Wool on wool - Iran - 1950-1999

Ghom carpets are made in the holy city of Ghom, in the centre of Iran. The wool used is referred to as kork wool and it is from a lamb's neck. This allows for very fine and resistant threads, which results in a high knotting density. These rugs are marvellously executed and, in certain cases, richly detailed and are some of the best rugs made today.
Imported in the '80s.
Measurements: 400 x 78 cm
