5A sculpture by the Art Deco artist Marcel Bouraine with pseudonym Derenne.
A dancer with 2 discs (danse paienne - wild dance).
Made of white metal and green patinated.
Original green patina.
Foundry Le Verrier.
height 27 cm.
Signed "Derenne".
Original Art Deco statue.
In perfect condition.
The object stands on a large veined marble pedestal.

Marcel Bouraine.
He is one of the most famous Art Deco artists for the image designs back then and now.
He has many of his sculptures cast by Max le Verrier, also artist, including under the name "artus", and who possessed a foundry in Paris.
Max le Verrier had developed a new alloy that he used instead of bronze to manufacture cheaper statues.

Marcel Bouraine designed several dozens of sculptures and received several awards.
Many bronze but also spelter sculptures.
