Painter Bernardus Petrus Viegers was born on December 17, 1886 in The Hague and died on October 8, 1947 in Nunspeet. In the period 1903-1904, he followed painting lessons with Charles Dankmeijer at the academy of fine arts in The Hague. He was a member of the Hague art circle. Viegers is strongly influenced by the Hague School and by the French Impressionists.
