A large, antique mantelpiece clock from the early 20th century.
A very solid and heavy cast iron casing with a few decorative gold accents on the front, mermaids on each side. The glass casing, which surrounds the dial, is not there.
The dial has a cream-coloured coating with black hands and Roman numerals, both key holes are in the dial.
The movement is marked with Ansonia New York and Patent 1882
It is a Chester model c1904.
8 day time, is chimes every half hour and full hour, the chime is beautiful and not overwhelming.
The glass above the dial is not there.
As with all old clocks, the movement can't be guaranteed after the shipping and handling and the clock may have to be reset and rebalanced, but it is currently working properly.
