Charles Catteau for Boch Frères Keramis - Vase with crackle in a multi-coloured polychrome floral enamel relief decor D 1651.
The decor consists of multi-coloured lace work of stylized yellow, cream-colored and white-pink floral motifs or peonies on a blue background and with a cobalt blue collar on top and bottom edge.
The colours are applied using a thick layer of enamel.
Marked on the bottom.
There is the round mark in the black, “BOCH Frs LA LOUVIERE MADE IN BELGIUM FABRICATION BELGE”.
Decor number = D 1651 - Form number = 1294.
This vase dates from the period when Charles Catteau was the head of the art studio of Boch (the Atelier de Fantasie). The decor was designed in 1932.
Height = 24.1 cm. - Weight = 1384 grams
Maximal diameter on the belly = 17 cm.
Diameter neck = 9.2 cm. Diameter foot = 9 cm.
The vase is in very good condition with minor signs of wear.
