A very fine Spanish Baroque pendant carved in mother-of-pearl and partially highlighted in back and red paint. The front depicts Saint Barbara next to the tower in which she was imprisoned and leaning on a sword while holding a palm branch, which is the symbol of martyrs. Her name underneath. The reverse shows the Christ Child holding the Sacred Heart and a cross. Underneath his initials IHS, the abbreviation for Iesus Hominum Salvator (Jesus, Savior of Men).
