Heraldic zincography of the Valle du Lac de Joux - Alloy
Switzerland - Early 20th century

Beautiful zincography with the heraldic coats of arms of the towns in the Jura Valley in the Swiss canton of Vaud. Size 24 x 19 cm, zincography on boxwood. In excellent condition.

The valley also continues in France (Jura department) at its highest end, southwest. Located 48 km north of Geneva and northwest of Lausanne, its average altitude exceeds 1000 m (3300 feet).

The Vallée de Joux is, along with Neuchatel, the cradle of Swiss watchmaking and is still the home of the most famous Swiss watch factories, such as Audemars Piguet, Blancpain, Breguet, Patek Philippe & Co., Vacheron Constantin and Jaeger-LeCoultre.
