Beautiful statue of Mary with Child and inscription Sedes Sapientia. This intimate and loving presentation shows Mary holding Jesus on her left arm. He rests his head on her shoulder and has his left hand on her heart. Maria rests here head on the head of the child. They both have their eyes closed in a peaceful loving expression. Notice the deep warm colours. The statue has developed a nice patina over the course of years. Despite its age, the statue is in a relatively good condition.
