"Diana the huntress" (1) - Bronze (patinated), Marble - 16th century

Bronze sculpture depicting Diana the huntress, attributed to Girolamo Campagna (Verona 1549–Venice 1625).
The sculpture is part of a private collection of an important family from Bologna. It is mentioned in an old inventory as: ‘Diana Cacciatrice in Bronzo del XVI secolo’.
The work rests on two bases: a coeval one in Prato marble, and a non-coeval one in green-marble.

Dimensions: height 36 cm; base 17 x 12 cm
Condition: in good condition
