Beautiful bronze sculpture with brown patina, signed on the belt, founder stamp SIOT DECAUVILLE and numbered C979.
On a Griotte marble base (minor accident at the base, without gravity and visible in the photos).

Sculpture made in 1900, Injalbert's laughing child takes over and overtakes the one of Carpeaux.

Outstanding sculptor, first Prix de Rome in 1874. Injalbert is recognised by his contemporaries as one of the best in the representation of the human body.
His works, which have pride of place in prestigious places in Paris or the provinces, are exhibited in several museums, including the Musée d'Orsay in Paris. They reveal an incomparable talent giving the sensation of movement, form and life. They are at once full of sensitivity, sensuality and humour.
