Vintage French carriage clock in gilt-bronze. Late 19th century. Machinery: Paris 8 days, in correct working order. Bell chime on hours and half hours. Rectangular case on a base with volute-shape legs. Case decorated with figurehead on the front and abundant volutes and garlands. The sides are very detailed with openwork metal and a ring in the centre like a shaft symmetrical to what look to be two mythological animals. On the case there is a very eye-catching detail in the shape of a vase. Chiselled bronze dial and ceramic cartouches with Roman numerals. Good size, 46 x 26 cm Weight: 6 kg
