An airplane of HECO tin plate models.
(Heco stands for Hot Engines Castol Oil.)
This is the model of a Vickers F.B. 5 'Gunbus', which was deployed around 1915 in WWI by the British.
In the 90s the HECO models were handmade by Tony Williams and his wife: he machined the metal, she painted the models, with a lot of eye for details.
The plane is made of tin,
The pilots are lead.
The model is in a replacement package of 'Under Two flags', the shop where the aircraft was bought.
