Anneke Kimmel was a well-known and eccentric artist from Heusden. She distinguishes herself by her Impressionist and unique style. In her work, the image is not about an objective record of reality, but above all the subjective and own perception is the guiding aspect. The combination of atmosphere, colour and light make her work unique. She has mainly focused on Impressionist still lifes and portraits in oil paint but also in watercolours.
Anneke Kimmel has had exhibitions throughout her life in various galleries and museums in the Netherlands and internationally such as in Belgium, London and New York.
