Very beautiful Art Deco polychrome earthenware Boch Keramis Amphora vase, decor "Olga".
Made by the master ceramist Charles Catteau a vase with a multicoloured decoration of stylised flower garlands to the neck, highly stylised carnations across the flowerpot in various bands. Created by the Atelier de Fantasy of Charles Catteau -Boch Keramis in La Louvière around 1923. The decor was hand-painted and is covered in a shiny, crackled and transparent glaze, the flower garland is repeated various times throughout the circumference.
The decor is included in the book "Art Deco Ceramics Made in Belgium" by Marc Pairon.
The vase is in good condition with minimal traces of use (see photos).
Marked with the blue Boch stamp Decor number = D 788 Olga shape number = 822 and letter E.
A "must have" for any Art Deco enthusiast.
