Very beautiful characteristic necklace by Andreas Daub made around 1910–15 in Pforzheim, Germany.
Andreas Daub
Over 135 years ago, founder Andreas Daub started the company that would become one of the leading companies of the German jewellery industry.
As a young goldsmith, Andreas Daub soon recognised the possibilities
that existed for an international focus on traditions from Pforzheim.
In the early 20th century, Andreas Daub A * D already was one of the seven most prominent jewellery firms in Europe.
From 1900 onwards he specialised in making jewellery out of 'rolled' gold, whereby a layer of gold (8 to 14 kt) was impressed on the metal jewellery and then polished, with a lifetime guarantee on the gloss!
This necklace is a beautiful example of that period, an item of jewellery that is becoming increasingly rare and hard to find!
Nowadays, this successful company is led by the fourth and fifth generation of the Daub family.
