Description

According to information collected during the purchase this stele has the particularity of bringing together two cultures as a tribute to an important Burmese benefactor who died on 10-12-1934 in a mountain village in the state of Kachin bordering North China.

The Burmese inscription above the date gives the name of the person.

The inscriptions in Chinese are the tributes paid by the Chinese people of the village who made this stele and bear the names of the sculptors and  of some dignitaries of the village.
