KTM - LC8 - Kapriony - Zaira - 990 cc - 2006

This bike ran the 2017 Africa Eco Race Montecarlo Dakar.

It’s basically a replica of the classic Paris-Dakar of the golden times.

It ranked first, with driver Paolo Caprioni.

Its weight has been reduced to 161 kg.

The rear frame has been modified by transferring auxiliary carbon fuel tanks near the rear fender.

Tank cover fairing and oil carter protector are made of a carbon fibre and Kevlar mix.

Dedicated Showa fork with 300 mm excursion

Touratech mono shock

Nissin braking system with 270 front disc

7075 Aluminium alloy steering plates, machined from solid

The exclusive (one-piece) exhaust is made by Xracing.

Twin engine replaced with 990 cc

ITG Filter

This bike has been revised and overhauled in detail and in all of its parts, and now it’s ready to race.

Only its look is unchanged: it’s still that lived-in look the bike had after winning the Dakar race.
