This guitar from Juan Estruch is presumably made between the early 1930s and late 1940s in Barcelona when the company was headed by Juan Estruch Sastre, the son of the founder Juan Estruch Rosell
.
Due to the smaller dimensions and the types of wood used (solid spruce top with presumably cypress wood for the back & sides), these guitars were widely used in flamenco music
Guitar has a hand-applied rosette and bindings and is still in completely original condition and sounds fantastic...
Due to the lack of year and model numbers it is almost impossible to date the guitar exactly (model and annual numbers were only used from 1968/69 onwards on the Estruch guitars, but the heel of the Estruch has the distinctive round finish of the Telesforo Julve from the period 30/40...). Guitar builders people used to collaborate with a lot...
However, the number 2900 is punched into the back of the head.
The guitar was completely checked by a guitar builder and of course equipped with new strings
