A jewelled French enamel casket, 19th century the top, front and back set with convex panels of pale primrose enamel, each intricately jewelled within delicate painted tracery, the gilt metal mounts including scrollwork feet,all in the islamic taste and design.

Tahan produced the finest quality enamel work of the period, which was favored by Emperor Napoleon III and Empress Eugenie.
They called the white RAISED ENAMEL JEWEL it could be either white turquoise or enamel
