Giuseppe Pini (Parma, 1696 - ?) - 8 tavv. di Numismatica
Etching - Plate signed - 1727

Eight (8) engravings of approx. 8 x 21 cm, on laid paper, preserved in very good condition (please see photos).
The engravings, five of which have text on back, are the work of G. Pine from Parma, and they depict medals and ornaments with portraits of nobles of the Farnese family.
They come from the I and unique run of the important numismatic work in 10 volumes commissioned to Jesuit Paolo Pedrusi to illustrate the numismatic collection of the Farnese family in Parma. The ninth and tenth volumes, from which these sheets come, were published between 1724 and 1727 with title ‘I Cesari in metallo mezzano e piccolo’ and they were edited, to complete Pedrusi’s work, by Jesuit father Pietro Piovene.
Vinciana, 4496; Cicognara, 2971; Brunet IV, 465. Graesse V, p. 183; Olschki, Choix, 12977.
