Versace - Rosenthal - Cups and saucers (1) - Porcelain

Versace - Rosenthal - Cups and saucers (1) - Porcelain
Germany - Late 20th century

Tea cup or sauce cup with saucer model Ikarus Medusa, produced by Rosenthal for Versace design by Paul Wunderlich.

Rosenthal meets Versace in "Ikarus Medusa", Versace's first porcelain collection.
One of the first sets of the collection "Rosenthal meets Versace, the decoration” Gianni Versace's medusa in the form of “Ikarus” mirrors Versace's incomparable and rich world of intense colours. The central highlight of this collection is a glorious golden medusa head, an unmistakably Versace emblem, framed by expressive Baroque ornaments. The centrally positioned medusa head decorates all cups, pots, meal plates and breakfast set from the "Medusa" collection. Varied aristocratic colours, bright red, precious gold and black with delicate and luxurious designs and ornaments, give the medusa head a colourful and elegant structure.
