mid 20th century - Good condition, used with some signs of wear

The Kuba Pwoom mask was danced at funerals, boys’ initiations, for entertainment, and may have also functioned for social control.

Materials: Wood, fabric, sisal, feathers, encrusted patina from libation and offers.
Good condition with traces of tribal use.

Provenance: former private collection from Belgium. Collected in the period 1953 - 1959 (More details provided to buyer).
Sold with a certificate of authenticity.
