Great stone axe from the Mali Desert
Dimensions: 17 cm x 6 cm
Condition: well preserved, polished and sanded except for a small damage to the blade
Around 2000 B C, in the south of Mali people mainly lived from agriculture, especially of millet and other grass seeds. Axes like this were often used in everyday life, e.g. for processing wood.
