This is a hand-knotted Bidjar rug, made of durable, natural materials. The way it was knotted and the diversity in patterns make this rug unique and emphasise its authentic and traditional character.
Bidjar is located in the west of Iran. Bidjar rugs can be found both with and without a medallion, this is called a Herati pattern. Bidjar rugs are made of high-quality wool on a cotton warp (bobbin thread). They are often thick and compact rugs with the pile pointing almost straight up. This is why Bidjar rugs are excellent rugs for regular use, with an extremely high durability.
It is a used rug, which has become more beautiful and richer in character due to the natural ageing process.
This rose Bidjar is especially suited for a showroom, practice space or a large living room.
This rug was imported from Iran before 2000.
Main colour: red
Accent colours: cream, brick-red, green, mocha, pink and blue shades
