Omar Pellegatta (1925-2001).
The painter and engraver Pellegatta was born in Busto Arsizio in 1925. In 1974 he travelled to Europe, where he visited the inland towns of Italy and other countries. Among the main conferences in which he participated there are the 1st National Exhibition of Fine Arts (Rio de Janeiro, RJ, 1971, where he was awarded the bronze medal) and the Paulista Salon of Fine Arts (various editions between 1958 and 1977). Last shows: Paulista Landscape at Masp, São Paulo, SP (1978); Sala Benedito Calixto (Itanhaém, SP, 1984); group exhibition at the Cultural Centre Brazil-United States (Santos, SP, 1986); group exhibition at the Paranapuã Art Gallery (São Vicente, SP, 1987).
