Silver ring mounted with Besednice Moldavite. Resin ring and metal ball.

Created 14.8 million years ago by the impact of a meteorite that shoot terrestrial material (silica) in the atmosphere, the Moldavite is therefore classified in the category of the Tektites, (rocks of which the creation is related to the impacts of meteorites).
Most of them are black or bottle green and more or less translucent. Rich in silica as well as aluminium, calcium and potassium.
Silicon dioxide associated with an oxide of aluminium, SiO2 + (Al2O3).
Hardness: 5.5 to 6.9 on Mohs scale. Density: 2.3 to 2.6.
Deposits: Czech Republic, Slovakia, Moldova. Czechoslovakia.
Air of 15 million years old.
Inclusions of air bubbles.
During its creation under the cataclysmic impact of the meteorite Ries, the Moldavite has locked small bubbles of the terrestrial atmosphere in its structure, these are about 14.7 million years old. These old air inclusions are present in almost all the Bohemian Moldavites
