A dance card from the turn of the 20th century. It was used by a woman to record the names of the gentlemen with whom she intended to dance at a ball. The dance card with the Art Nouveau motifs – chrysanthemums on the front and a violet on the back. The dance card is silver-plated, which is why it has not been cleaned, to avoid destroying the coating. The cards inside have the gilded edges and the last card is silver-plated. A few (2-3) of the first cards are missing and the next 2-3 wear slight traces of wetting. The rest is in a very good condition. The dance card with an original pencil located in a special holder. The pencil lead pulls-out when the knob is rotated. The dance card is approx. 100 years old but it is in a good condition, with normal signs of age and use.
