Again this sheet came from a regular returning 97 year old lady guest who resides in Paris.
The bedroom in which her parents stayed in the country was always decked with this particular sheet. Apparently each bedroom and there were 10 at the country home, had each own sheets.
It is interesting to note that the design of this sheet is entirely made up of open cutwork which gives it a very unusual aspect.
We have examined the open cutwork and it looks that it has been entirely created and done by hand.
It is a very good white cotton and the size of 2m30 is already advanced for those days and I have learned that the beds in those days for the more important properties were always wider than for the rest of the French population.
