This 1999 Mini 40 (Italian Spec), in Mulberry Red colour, had to wait until 2019 to be registered as a vehicle of historical interest.
The car, displayed at some events in the past, has never circulated on the road. The odometer marks 136 km and the general condition of the car is excellent: as good as factory new.
Mini 40 features include leather interior, a six-tool aluminium dashboard, leather steering wheel, leather gear knob and leather handbrake, a 40 badge on the bonnet and a GB badge on the trunk.
With original radio, book kit and complete double keys. It has been car-detailed to restore the body to its original shine.
This Mini 40 was displayed at the Villa D'Este Elegance Competition (2019 edition) to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Mini. In addition, it is the cover car on “Ruoteclassiche” magazine for November issue.
The car has a Certificate of Historical Relevance issued by ASI. With this, we will apply for an Italian registration so that we will have the chance to optimise later bureaucratic procedures. This Mini 40 will be displayed and presented at Milan Autoclassica - Fiera Milano Rho, from 22nd to 24th November at the Just Minis stand (pavilion 22, stand G08).
The right front wheel arch and the exhaust terminal were replaced, as the former broke during a transport and the latter suffered from early internal corrosion. The mounted spare parts were original MG Rover parts.
The car will be delivered with new tyres, replacement of all fluids and filters, replacement of braking parts, replacement of front suspension pads. Only original MG Rover parts will be used for this.
In order to facilitate the transfer of ownership, the car will be subject to Italian registration - unless otherwise agreed - once the auction will be closed.
